Adventure Aide is a tourism and recreation app similar to AirBnB Experiences. The app allows users to book unique outdoor adventures, ranging from surf lessons to multi-day backpacking excursions that are arranged by locals. The app was started back in 2014, with several freelance developers at the helm.
Adventure Aide is a tourism and recreation app similar to AirBnB Experiences. The app allows users to book unique outdoor adventures, ranging from surf lessons to multi-day backpacking excursions that are arranged by locals. The app was started back in 2014, with several freelance developers at the helm.
Our approach was to refactor and rebuild the application architecture for both the mobile site and back-end. The technology stack was changed to use modern mobile and web frameworks, two mobile apps for Adventurer and Aide were merged into a single app with a multi-role login. The application performance was improved significantly and user flow was made much more efficient. Our teams worked on the application for more than two years handed it back to the original team along with details and instructions on how to manage the project.
