EdCast is a desktop and mobile platform that lets business teams easily create, share, and discover the learning resources they need. Each corporate user can create and request the most relevant learning resources - including from co-workers, internal and external experts, formal and informal courses, and MOOCs.
Challenge
The client already had an in-house development team, but they lacked expertise in building search engines and scalable backends. Therefore, Edcast approached DevTeam.Space with the task of creating a core search engine, optimizing the backend, and implementing several other features.
Solution
Our expert development team used Elastc to develop the core search engine and indexing features. We also developed the user dashboard, including the admin and corporate users, role-based access, and personal accounts. After that, we developed a recommendation engine that analyzes uploaded content to provide personalized learning tips on the website and inside a Slack account for corporate users.
