This software product gives intellectual property owners an end-to-end solution that provides irrefutable, legally bound proof of IP ownership by recording ownership on the blockchain. The overall goal of this product is to replace the need for lawyers and patents when seeking to protect or share sensitive IP information with other parties.

Challenge

The client approached DevTeam.Space with the task of designing and developing the MVP.

Solution

Our tech account manager organized the design phase. The deliverables included the platform user interface design, tech stack, server, smart contracts, blockchain architecture, and a detailed coding phase plan. After the design phase deliverables were approved, we started the coding phase. The MVP included the ability to record data, access, and timestamp files on the blockchain network, enabling IP owners to have a verified record of their IP ownership and access to it. An IP owner can grant a recipient access to any sensitive information and have a verified, timestamped record of the access. To access files and data, recipients must agree to a smart contract, which is recorded and timestamped in the blockchain.
