This project helps protect your phone number from spam, fraudulent, and other unwanted calls. It is a large-scale distributed system comprising a backend, a telephony server, a mobile application, and integrations with third-party data and call providers. For this project, Antoine developed the mobile app backend, managed user contacts and call logic, and integrated the system with the VOIP component. Additionally, he configured CI/CD pipeline and logging with Graphana stack.

The application features an SPA interface, with a backend powered by Python (FastAPI) and PostgreSQL. Antoine developed the entire backend architecture and integrated third-party APIs for text-to-speech voice generation. To ensure maximum content generation speed, he implemented a custom template system for video and subtitle creation, running on top of FFmpeg.

It is based on a methodology developed by Nigel and Laura Bloomfield and popularized through the non-profit organization, The Happy Giraffe Company. Nigel reached out to us for assistance in the further development and improvement of an existing, yet unreleased product consisting of a mobile application and a backend. In a short timeframe, the backend was migrated from AWS Lambda to a self-hosted service, covered with tests, and updated with new features and Plaid integration.
