Velobike is a bicycle rental service. It is an ideal solution for those who want to enjoy a bike ride without thinking about buying their own two-wheeled friend. Edgar initially focused on long-term bug fixing and stabilization of the Android application. Later transitioned to feature development, working extensively with the MapKit API to implement interactive map-based functionality. Also integrated Firebase Firestore for real-time data synchronization and cloud data management.

This included defining the architecture, integrating RESTful APIs, managing local data storage, and ensuring app performance and stability. He oversaw the entire development lifecycle - from initial concept and wireframing to final deployment and maintenance.

Edgar worked on code optimization and redesign of several core modules to improve maintainability and performance. Migrated legacy components from MVP to MVVM architecture, ensuring better scalability and testability. Additionally, developed and integrated a new Messenger module based on gRPC, enabling efficient real-time communication within the app. He spent 6 months as a Team Lead, overseeing the Android development team and conducting regular code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
